PERSONAL, INDIVIDUAL USE LICENCES FOR ONLINE SESSIONS
Perhaps for some reason you were unable to attend your school’s parent/student evening, or somehow you managed to not get around to watching the 1 hr session online during the weeks your school had access. We can’t just extend access either as the schools have their own page created for the online session and it is deleted at the end of the access period. Or maybe you’ve heard about Dr Salter from other students or parents or teachers and she doesn’t speak at your school (she is in high demand and has been fully booked with her regular schools for many years now). Or maybe as a teacher you missed the staff professional development session. You can now experience the study skills sessions in the comfort of your own home with a month to watch (and re-watch) the session. There are currently five different presentations to choose from.
A personal, individual licence is applicable when you wish to watch the online videos of Dr Prue Salter’s sessions on your own or share them with people in your immediate family. It is not to be shared outside of your immediate family. Teachers or schools that wish to show the videos to a group or email the link to students or parents need to purchase a group licence.

Preparing in Primary School for High School – Tips for Year 6 Parents (for individual use)
Lots of parents are very keen to get Year 6 students ready for high school. It is a big jump from Year 6 to Year 7. The students have so much to get used to when they start Year 7. They have a new school, new teachers, new classes, new friends, new subjects – not to mention timetables, homework, assignments and all the other things they have to get used to. Given all of this, is there anything parents can do in primary school to get students ready for high school?

This video series looks at what parents can do from the viewpoint of a secondary school study skills specialist – what would we like students to be able to do by the time they get to high school?
